About NESTOR Project

NESTOR is an EU-funded project that aims to protect and safeguard the European marine and land borders.

NESTOR challenge is to address the development of a next generation holistic land and marine border surveillance, among EU Member States, following the concept of the European Integrated Border Management.

The main objective of NESTOR is to stimulate the use of new cutting-edge technologies using multimodal data feeds from the numerous off-the-shelf devices. Nestor will merge and process data through artificial intelligence techniques to respond efficiently to illegal activities thus improving the decision-making process and the reaction capacity of the security authorities of the EU Member States.
